Overview: GRE Cast Iron Straight edges are used for checking the straightness and flatness of parts in conjunction with the surface plates and spirit levels. These may be made of cast iron. C.I. straight edges are made up to 4 m length and widely used for testing machine tool slide ways. They are heavily ribbed either I section or bow-shaped to prevent distortion.

Features:

Casting stress relieved to relieve internal stresses. Smaller sizes offered with Grades 1 & 2 accuracies and larger sizes offered in Grade 2 accuracies.
Hand scraped surface finish for Grade-1. Finish machined / rough ground / rough scraped surface finish for Grade 2 accuracy.
Made generally as per IS: 5268:69, Made from close grained plain cast iron conforming to grade FG 220 of IS:210 .Higher grades also offered on request.
